Nurses will learn more about smoke-free and alcohol-free surgery in the new Swedish literature: Omvårdnad och kirurgi. Read chapter 6 written by Professor Hanne Tönnesen about tobacco and alcohol as risk factors in surgery.

Swedish medical students will learn more specific about tobacco and treatment as part of Addiction Medicine at Lund University.

An explorative meeting about establishing a Swedish branch of the Nordic Cochrane Center, took place at the Pufendorf Institute in Lund.

May 16 the grand opening of the new WHO Collaborating Centre will be held at Biskopshuset in Lund with invited researchers, health care staff, politician and other collaboration partners. We looking forward to officially start up the work towards improved health benefit for patients.
